Equipment

  • Espresso machine
  • Tamper
  • Steam wand
  • Burr grinder
  • 4.5 oz Gibraltar glass

Ingredients

  • 2 shots espresso
  • 2 oz milk

Instructions

  • Finely grind your fresh coffee beans with a burr grinder.
  • Measure 2 oz (60 g) of coffee and use a distributor (we like the OCD from Ona Coffee) to even the coffee grounds in the portafilter.
  • Tamp the coffee grounds and place the portafilter on the group head of your espresso machine.
  • Place a preheated 5-7 oz (150 - 210 ml) glass under the portafilter and pull the double shot.
  • Add 2 oz (60 ml) of milk to your pitcher and steam until hot to the touch.
  • Pour the steamed milk slowly on your espresso, making sure to maintain the 1:1 ratio. We recommend you pour from a higher level to allow the milk to cut through the espresso.
